Mariposa Psychoeducational Services was created with a mission to provide support that helps children reach their highest potential in all aspects of life - academically, emotionally, and socially. I know that every child has unique strengths, and I’m here to help them spread their wings and reach new heights with support tailored just for them.
Hi, I’m Carolina Rygula, EdS., M.A., PPS, LEP #4243, the founder of Mariposa Psychoeducational Services. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about helping children feel understood, capable, and valued. With over 10 years of experience as a school psychologist in diverse K-12 settings and 18 years in mental health, I bring both expertise and empathy to the families I work with.
I’ve had the privilege of working in Title I schools, Spanish immersion programs, and with students from a wide variety of backgrounds. This experience has taught me that children thrive best when their unique cultural and linguistic identities are honored and embraced, and their neurodivergent needs are supported.
I’ve seen firsthand how many children—especially bilingual and neurodivergent students need extra support in traditional educational settings.
Mariposa Psychoeducational Services brings counseling and individualized support together to help children succeed. Bilingual services in Spanish are available, as well as district support.
Every child deserves to feel understood. I take the time to listen, learn, and truly connect with each child and their family.
I embrace each child’s unique cultural and linguistic background, using it as a foundation for growth and success in the work we do together.
I work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive network that helps each child find success as the person they are.
I focus on what your child can do, not just what they struggle with. By highlighting their strengths, they build confidence and resilience.
What sets Mariposa Psychoeducational Services apart is my deep commitment to honoring the needs of all neurodivergent children. I see the whole child—their strengths, potential, and unique story. My bilingual services ensure that language and culture are celebrated, not barriers, and my personalized approach means that every plan is tailored to fit your child’s needs.
